The cv act library/sc offers an especially secure and efficient implementation of cryptography on a variety of smart card processors. Evaluated and certified to ITSEC E4/high and Common Criteria EAL 5+, it fulfils the highest security standards. To date, we have issued our smart card and semiconductor-manufacturing customers more than 30 million licenses for the use of cv act library/sc.
The cv act library/sc is specially optimized for implementation under smart card operating systems. Based on a chip-independent framework (crypto-microkernel) and coordinated by a policy of strict evaluators, the library can be rapidly ported to any desired platform. A uniform interface for all processors simplifies the implementation for the card manufacturers, thereby saving both time and money.
The cv act library/sc is available as a flexible framework in object code for independent implementation. Detailed documentation and development tips enable the optimal use of the universal interface. It is practically the same on all chip platforms and for this reason is especially good for implementation in platform-independent card operating systems. With the functionality provided, our customers are in a position to meet all the technical and formal requirements (evaluation / certification) for EMV banking, eHealth and ID card projects

The research activities of cryptovision are integrated in a worldwide network of renowned universities and institutes. We simulate every newly discovered mathematical or electro-technical attack potential as quickly as possible. The relevant insights are promptly absorbed into our product development. In this way, during the last few years a number of patented techniques to provide the best possible resistance against DPA, SPA and other side-channel attacks were developed and implemented in our product.
Due to the highest quality of the security we have achieved this way, customers like the BSI (German Federal Office for Information Security) now develop solutions for the high-security sector with cryptovision products. Through our cooperation on major national projects, cryptovision belongs to the circle of companies afforded critical infrastructure protection.
