In the last few years, an increased security requirement has arisen in the embedded systems sector. For this reason, the cryptographic specialists at cryptovision transferred the expertise gained from the development of cryptography for smart card ICs to the embedded systems sector.

Components for the automotive industry were developed and successfully integrated into engine immobilizers, navigation systems and motor control units. As a result, cryptovision created a complete cryptographic library especially for embedded systems, optimized for the respective processors. The spectrum ranges from high performance platforms to processors designed for extremely low energy usage, yet despite this can be provided with strong cryptography.

The cv act library/es makes a flexible and easily extensible cryptographic framework available to our customers. Optional training supports the usage of the toolkit. In complex cases, we are pleased to offer direct help with customized solutions. The cryptographic libraries by cryptovision are now also installed in many different environments beyond the automotive industry. Among these are satellite control and communications systems, verification devices for electronic passport documents and meter-reading devices for electricity, gas and water.

cv cryptovision develops cryptographic concepts and solutions for the high-security sector, among others for and in cooperation with the BSI (German Federal Office for Information Security).
