There are various different kinds of chip cards, with a major difference between memory chip cards offering only simple logic and processor chip cards with their own card operating system and cryptographic capabilities.

 
As a rule, the work we carry out involves the implementation of cryptographic algorithms and the integration of these modules into the underlying applications. In the past, the main focus of our activity centered on the implementation of the chip card itself. Cards using our cryptographic libraries have now succeeded in gaining multiple certifications. The approvals obtained by our customers (ITSEC E4/hoch, CC EAL4+) include such companies as Siemens AG, Sagem Orga, Austria Card and the BSI. Applications of the cards range from their use as bankcards and cards for health insurance to authorization tokens used in top security zones.
