cv act pki/roamer assumes the private key of a user is stored centrally in the Secret Store of a Novell eDirectory. Cryptovision offers a solution with their PKI software cv act PKIntegrated, that saves a private key in the Novell Secret Store, and thus making this available to cv act pki/roamer.

Should the user wish to use his private key for encryption or signing, then cv act pki/roamer downloads this key from the Novell Secret Store to the client. At the time the user logs on, the respective certificate and key are read and installed in the Microsoft Keystore, as well as in Mozilla/Firefox if applicable. Optionally the certificate and key are deleted following logoff of the user.

cv act pki/roamer stores a user's private key centrally. By storing the private key in a file (Soft key), cv act pki/roamer can provide a high level of security and mobility virtually equivalent to a Smart Card. Properties cv act pki/roamer is a combined software and service package. The integration can result in additional consulting and development costs.
